Located in Central Park, the Balto statue is a beloved attraction that pays tribute to the heroic Siberian husky. The bronze statue, created by Frederick Roth, depicts Balto, the dog who led a team of sled dogs to deliver life-saving medicine during a diphtheria outbreak in Nome, Alaska.
