HM Prison Pentridge, located in Coburg, Victoria, is a historically significant Australian prison. Established in 1851, it housed its first prisoners that same year. After a long and eventful history, the prison officially ceased operations on May 1, 1997. Today, the site is divided into two sections, with the northern part undergoing development and the southern part partially owned by Future Estate.
