Mandala Monument of West Irian Liberation

The Mandala Monument is an important landmark and cultural site in Makassar. Commemorating the West Irian liberation campaign of 1962, this 75-meter tall tower is shaped like a sharpened bamboo. The monument features a history museum on the ground floor and offers panoramic views of the city from its observation deck at the top.
