Restauradores Square (Praça dos Restauradores) is a public space in central Lisbon with a 30-meter-high obelisk in the center, commemorating the country's independence from Spain in 1640. The square is a starting point for exploring Avenida da Liberdade and the area offers museums, the art scene, Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, the riverside area, Coliseu dos Recreios, Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, Igreja de São Domingos and great restaurants.
