Monumento dos Restauradores

Restauradores Square, in the historic center of Lisbon, is marked by the imposing Monument to the Restauradores. Standing 30 meters tall, the obelisk commemorates Portugal's independence in 1640. Surrounded by points of interest such as the Foz Palace and the Avenida Palace Hotel, the square is the starting point for the charming Avenida da Liberdade.
