Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Hamilton, New Zealand, is the centerpiece of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton. Built in 1975 to replace St Mary's Church (1911–1912), it was renamed and rededicated in 1980 and 2008 respectively. The cathedral is famous for its stunning stained glass window depicting the Resurrection of Christ, crafted by Dutch artist Martin Roestenburg in the 1950s. This iconic feature has symbolized beauty and history in Hamilton for over 50 years.
