Fusilier's Arch Dublin
Fusiliers' Arch is a war memorial and gate screen at the entrance of St Stephen's Green park in Dublin. It was built in 1907 to commemorate the Royal Dublin Fusiliers who died in the Second Boer War. The names of the 222 dead are inscribed on the underside of the arch. Despite being damaged during the Easter Rising in 1916, it remains one of the few colonialist monuments in Dublin that was not destroyed after Ireland gained independence.
