UPCT Campus Muralla del Mar

The Muralla del Mar university campus, designed by Sebastián Feringán between 1749 and 1762 next to the old Marine Hospital, was one of the first constructions carried out after the designation of Cartagena as the main naval base in the Mediterranean. Today, this campus houses the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and preserves both the original structures and its courtyards and much of its exterior appearance as a whole.
