Sonian Forest

The Sonian Forest is a preserved natural area southeast of Brussels, considered the green lung of Belgium. It primarily consists of beech and European oak trees, some over 200 years old. The forest is a place for walking and relaxation for the inhabitants of Brussels and the surrounding areas, with many outdoor activities available. It is also protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a Natura 2000 site.
