Louisiana State Capitol
Rising 450 feet with 34 floors, the Louisiana State Capitol in downtown Baton Rouge is the tallest capitol building in the United States. Designed as a skyscraper, its Art Deco architecture distinguishes it from more traditional capitol buildings. The site includes a surrounding Capitol Park and reflects the political and historical significance of Louisiana’s government within the urban fabric of the city.
