Homomonument

The Homomonument in Amsterdam commemorates all homosexual men and women who have been oppressed and persecuted because of their orientation. The monument consists of three pink granite triangles connected to one another and incorporated into the pavement. It is located at Westermarkt and is an important symbol of gay emancipation with a national and international appeal.
